ADVICE NEEDED
OKAY, SO WE WERE SET ON THE NAME LUKE FOR THIS BABY AND IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION IT MAY SOUND TOO SIMILAR TO STAR WARS...KALEIA AND LUKE...SO WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER NAME AND WE JUST CAN'T AGREE ON ONE. I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE FAKE SMILING IF/WHEN PEOPLE SAY OH LIKE STAR WARS. DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK STAR WARS? PLEASE NOTE WE ARE HAVING ONE MORE KID SO IT WON'T JUST BE THE TWO; THERE WILL BE ONE MORE KID.

HAHA you are too funny. I really like the name Luke but it does kinda sound like star wars a little. If you that doesn't bother you then don't worry about it! I was just thinking too that there could be times when they are older that kid's might say that to them or bring it to their attention?
I asked Dave, what comes to your mind when you hear these names, right off the bat... Star Wars. I love Luke. I considered it before we choose Parker, but Star Wars would become a bigger part of your life than you may want. Good Luck!!

Keegan
Kellan
Jonathan (Kinda common, I know)
Nathan
Just suggestions.....but if you like Luke than you should stick with that. Kids can find anything for any name to make fun of whether it's Luke or not :D Good Luck!
Well, at least you have the "KA" to Kaleia so it is different there but I can see what you mean about it sounding similar. Are you set on Luke? You could go Lucas--WHOOPS--got the George Lucas connection thing going there. That won't do.
Won't you be calling them KK or Lei and Luke or Luke-y, or L or Pee-Wee(remember the boy pee attack thing we were discussing?) or some other nicknames? I don't think people will make the connection. Heck, we didn't figure out that Miles' initials are MTV for the longest time. That certainly wasn't on purpose!
So I wouldn't worry about it--name the kid what you want to. Just don't start making Lei wear those braided bun things hairdo and you'll be OK!
I think I have already commented this to you before I would have NEVER thought that it sounded like Star Wars had you not mentiones it...but I am not a big fan of SW anyways...maybe that's why. But even though, I still don't think of it and I don't really think anyone else will. How often will people say Kaleia and his name together anyways? He will be Luke and she will be Kaleia...I think if you like it and you BOTH agree...go with it!!

I like the name Luke. Grampa said he thought of Luke Skywaker when he heard it - nothing wrong he was a good man. I think of the gospals M-M-L-J when I head it. For our vote we like the name..If it matters. Go for it.
