This sums up Luke's day

Mother's Day

Since I use this as a journal I often look back to see what we did the previous year at holiday time to make sure we are taking turns between our families. So I am making a note to my 2011 self that we went to MY mom's this mother's day.

Erased

Anyone type a blog then erase it and never post it? I just did. It felt good to let it out but I just didn't want it out there for others to read. But I can say it was all about the fuss over how, and I quote,: "Ronald McDonald is a pied piper drawing youngsters all over the world to food that is high in fat, sodium and calories," said by Alfred David Klinger.

Can you guess what I had to say?

Secret?

So today I got ready at the gym, and forgot to bring a bra. Oh well, I thought, I have a sweatshirt on; no one will notice at Costco. When I got home Jord was home for lunch and helped me unload the car. I told him what happened and how I felt like I had a dirty little secret no one knew. He looks at me, stifles a laugh, and says, "honey, I don't think it was a secret."

You know you have a good daddy when...

He plays Pretty Pretty Princess with you...

I liked this picture even though you can almost hear the noise just from looking at the picture...

perfect moment

I had one of those perfect moments last week and wanted to write it down.

Kaleia really likes the song by Train, I think it is titled Soul Sister; anyway so we are all upstairs on a random Wednesday night and singing and dancing on my bed to that song. Luke jumping up and down screeching, Kaleia dancing and singing at the top of her lungs, and Jord and I on either side keeping any kids from falling off the bed. Nothing else mattered or was thought of...it was a perfect moment in our home.

Gymnastics Performance/Early Party

Lei was very excited for her gymnastics performance. It was a Jungle theme and Kaleia's class were the lions. She finally accepted this after I told her that there just weren't any dogs in the jungle so a lion was the next best thing.

We had an early birthday party for Lei following her gymnastics performance. She wanted so-long-sub sandwiches, chips, fruit salad, and a cake with strawberries, blueberries, and cream. I thought pizza would have been easier but it wasn't my birthday.

Around the house

This was fun...we were bringing dessert to Pirate and Grandma's house (Jord's parents) and so we decorated some sugar cookies. Me and Kaleia decorated several cookies while Luke-well Luke just decorated his cookie, licked it clean and then re-decorated the same cookie over and over and over...

Luke has taken a fancy for Lei's dress-up shoes

Easter 2010

For Easter this year we went to my Grandma and Pa Moos' for a fun family celebration. It was raining so we had an indoor hunt. All the kids received an Easter basket, and of course there was a lot of yummy food. The morning before we left the bunny had left 3 baskets on the table for us. Luke got some matchbox cars, Lei got a Polly pocket addition and a Frisbee, and the basket for Jord and me had a chocolate egg for each of us in it. Sorry for the lack of pictures. I have been a little anti picture taking and blogging lately.
