I am so mad because I ALWAYS forget my camera. This past weekend we had so much fun in Old Town Sacramento. We went to the yummy Rio City Cafe on the river and Lei was soo excited to ride the old steam train. Luke, not so much he slept the entire 40 minute ride. It was hot but we went before it got miserable, and after the ride it was decided it was to hot to walk around.

NEW CAR!

OKAY WE DID IT, WE FINALLY BOUGHT A NEW CAR. WE ENDED UP WITH A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WE THOUGHT FOR SURE WE WOULD END UP WITH A TAHOE BUT THIS CAR WAS JUST PERFECT FOR US, INCLUDING THE PRICE.

I love all you bring to our family. Your smarts amaze me-your addition, letters, letter sounds, spelling, counting...You keep me on my toes little one. I love your LATE nights with us (thank you for sleeping late), your cuddles, you are such a fun girl to be around. You are so loving to Luke, you make a good big sister. I love when you help me cook, and even love the ENDLESS games we play (puzzles, the matching game, coloring, candyland, and the newest addition of Hi-Ho-Cherry-O). I am so proud to call you my daughter...thank you.

So she has always known there are no more binkys when she turns 3. So this morning when she got up I told her happy birthday, and was informed she was not 3 she was still 2 and she was going back to bed. Child stayed in bed until 12:30 (when Jord came home for lunch) saying she didn't feel like 3 she was 2 so she could keep her binkys. When she got up I took all binkys and threw them away. Later on she asked where her binkys went and I told her that they disapear when you turn 3....She just marched in the room yelling "I'm not 3!"
I feel it will a be LONG couple of days until she grasps that she is 3. You would think she was turning 30.

Lei's Epiphany

Lei-"Mom, boys have long pee-pees and girls have short pee-pees."
Me-"Yes, that is right."
Lei-"Do you have a long pee-pee?"
Me-"No, I am a girl, I have a short pee-pee."
Lei-"Oh, I have a short pee-pee too."

Luke is officially a crawler. Up go the baby gates and the fear of stairs.

Celebrated Lei's b-day with a luncheon for all the ladies in the family. It went well. My camera was dead and I didn't have time to look for the charger. Found it today though. My mom took some pictures so I need to get copies. I really hate my camera and just need to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I don't even want to take pictures cuz I hate it so much.

I felt really good about myself today; all my roles were up to par (wife, mom, employee, homemaker). I did a mass clean of the whole house; so every room was clean...AT THE SAME TIME! Usually there is always one that is a mess. I made laz. from scratch. It was tasty. A lot of work but Lei had fun helping me. Was able to get a lot done work wise. I played for a good couple hours with my kids. Hi-Ho-Chery-O and instruments with Lei, and some movement exercises with Luke. And did a good job of being a wife today too. This kind of day is rare but very satisfying. I usually feel I can do 2 out of 4 roles good a day, so today was special. Now if I was able to exercise the day would have been perfect. Hoping Friday I will be able to run and lift weights again.

back to the Dr. again next week for the shot. the thought of a needle in my knee doesn't sound very fun, and i really don't have a problem with needles. not really in the mood to blog lately...

LIGHTS OUT

SO THIS MORNING WHILE LEI WAS IN THE TUB THE POWER WENT OFF. SO I TELL HER SHE HAS TO GET OUT. SHE TELLS ME TO JUST TURN THE LIGHTS ON. I TELL HER I CAN'T THERE IS NO POWER/THEY ARE BROKEN. SHE TELLS ME TO "PUSH THE BUTTON, TRY MOM." SO I GO OK LOOK I AM TRYING TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON. I FLIP THE SWITCH DOWN AND THEN RIGHT WHEN I FLIP THEM UP THE POWER COMES BACK. LEI SAYS, "SEE I TOLD YOU YOU COULD DO IT", AND CONTINUES TO PLAY IN THE TUB.

My Knees

Kaleia last Easter and this Easter

Went to the Dr. today and he thinks I will be running very soon!!!!! I just have a Meniscus injury (some cartilage in your knee). I got a prescription today so hopefully in 2 weeks I will be good to go. If not I will get a cortisone shot. If that does not work then I will go in for an x-ray but I don't think it will go that far! I am so excited to run again, especially since the weather has been so nice.
Kaleia put my shoes on a few weeks ago and told me she was going running; then she asked how come I don't run any more. That is when I made the appointment to go back to the Dr.

*Have started getting Lei's Birthday together.
*Luke is in a very lovey phase. He will scoot over to where I am at and grab my skirt/pants and try to pull himself onto my lap-so cute!

Swimming in the COLD

How come it doesn't matter how cold the water is-if it is hot outside a child must swim. Lei loves the water and she swam for a good while before telling me she was cold and wanted to get out.

We OFFICIALLY can not put off buying a car for much longer. Luke's new car seat does not fit in our car. He is almost to big for the old one so we HAVE TO buy a new car in the next few weeks. We had a good run with one car and can now buy a new one without any guilt, it has become a necessity.

*New show on my DVR-on the food network I love the food network challenges. Currently it is THE LAST CAKE STANDING. Makes me want to learn to decorate!

*My allergies suck right now, dang wind.

*I am off diet coke and have switched to Diet Dr. Pepper

*Luke is not as slobbery as usual, hopefully he has dried out since he cut 2 more teeth this week.

*Went to an awesome baby shower yesterday, Yay for Amanda and baby Moose.
