Easter

For Easter we went over to Jason and Tracy's and had Easter with the Dennis side of the family. Lei liked playing with her cousins but side tracked during the Easter egg hunt...once she spotted the car she did not get out of it. She tried driving holding on to the basket but soon ditched the basket and just drove around the yard. We enjoyed a good ham dinner and loved visiting with everyone.

A Day at the Zoo

So I finally got to go to the zoo! I have been wanting to go to A zoo forever and finally got Jord to go to the Sacramento zoo. Lei had a blast, she liked seeing all the differant animals. Surprisingly she loved the flamingos the best. She sang to them and at the gift shop picked out a flamingo magnet to take home. We also got a Lemur stuffed animal (even though I despise stuffed animals) to represent Max in Madagascar. Kaleia's favorite part though was hands down the train ride that went around the park. Jord and her went without me (I brought the good stroller and didn't want to leave it unattended). All in all a fun day. I told Jord once a month we are going to go and do something new...this month was the zoo and I would let him know what we were going to go and see/do next month.

St. Patty's Day

I had to use last year's pictures for this post. :( Actually had a fun meal planned...green spinach spaghetti with pesto, green garlic bread, and a green salad. Sadly though we ventured to Sacramento to visit Grandpa in the hospital. Grandpa Neil who was supposed to come home yesterday was instead informed he had to stay another week, so we went to give him some company. Well, actually just Jordan, Lei and I waited in the lobby cuz she couldn't go in the ICU. So we went out to eat at Pei Wei (our favorite) and I am sure it may not have been green but it tasted better then anything I can make. But, Lei did wear the same shirt she did last year; her gut has stayed the same size she has just grown taller.

New Stuff

Things that made me laugh this week:
1. Searching for our car in the Wal-mart parking lot Jord yells from the next row, "Stacy the car is right here!" Since then Lei has decided to call me Stacy
2. Kaleia starting talking in the third person. "Mom, Key-A-ah wants to swing, mom Key-A-ah saw a squirrel."
3. Lei started walking around with her eyes shut
4. Lei says here name is key-A-ah Nors
5. she started walking on her tip toes, hard to explain but actually on the knuckles of her toes like ballerina.
6. not funny but has taken to hiding when she poops
7. learned to make the harmonica work this week
8. had to buy her a new Elmo snugly. After feeding it a banana, giving it a dirt bath, and putting band-aids on it it was time to say goodbye. She knew he was different so I told her he took a bath with the bubbles. (we are very into bubbles)

Lei's Stiens Prize

So, we have been sitting on the potty for quite some time, just a minute before she gets in to the bath just to get used to it. So...on Monday after she got off I took her and showed her this Little Einsteins toy (it was supposed to go in her Easter Basket) and told her she could have it if she went potty in the potty. Well, after that she ran back to the toilet and sat for like a half hour until I begged her to get off. And since Monday that has been how it goes; sitting on the potty until I beg her to get off, while she tells me she is going to get a steins prize. So Friday night I leave Jord with her and she goes pee in the potty! Figures, I sit all week with her and miss the finale! So here she is with her prize.

Go Crayola!

Ok, this is a shout out to the Crayola company and all of it's terrific products. Espeacially the color wonder line. If you haven't tried them I suggest you do...fun for your kids and you!

no more chicka boom!

I am so sick of reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! Lei wants me to read it over and over and over again. "Please mama catcha boom boom!" I can now add this book to my list of memorized children's books! I think she likes it cuz she know all the letters...well almost all; still working on N, she thinks it is a M. But after that letter she will know the whole alphabet, and then we can start working on the sounds each letter makes.

A Pink Cake For V-Day!

So I was kind of bored and cake sounded good, so Lei and I decided to make our Valentine's Day Cake a few days early. She really likes to help me bake, so here she is in her apron...

Having Fun

Don't lick that!

Okay, so Kaleia is LICKING EVERYTHING! Trees, random people, stair banisters, rocks, etc. Anything she gets close to she licks and then says, Ew or Mmm...it's good. Most everything is good except people. I think because if she licks me I say ew.

She has all of a sudden got an increase of energy, so much so that she is driving me crazy. She only runs to where she is going and if she is standing in one place it is cuz she is dancing. I think because of all the rain we haven't gone on any walks so she has a lot of energy that she has not been able to burn. Work is going good, I like my new job and think we are going to be here for awhile. Yeah! because I am not moving again for some time.
