Don't forget

Dear Self,

Don't forget that Luke calls squirrels "Peesh", and will argue with you if you try to correct him about it.

Anytime I sit down Luke will sit down next to me and hold my arm.

Luke's terror of the swings unless he sits in my lap.

Luke's need to make sure Kaleia has everything he has. 1 example: I offered him a juice and as he took it he asked if he could get one for Lei too, she was nowhere in sight.

Kaleia will soon be missing her 2 front teeth and will get her first visit from the tooth fairy.

Kaleia is soo kind and patient with Luke. There was a time they always got along...

I need to video Kaleia laughing-it is so cute.

Take 1

I began the task of potty training today. I got him to go twice this morning in the potty. But then I ran out of energy by lunch and put a diaper on him. I know what you're thinking--but I am slowly warming him up to the idea. The car undies didn't last long on his booty however, they were held above his head as he ran naked through the house making car noises. Oh my dear Luke how I love you.

I trimmed Kaleia's hair today and it looks soo much better. It was beginning to resemble a mullet a bit. We did decide though it was my last time cutting her hair because I am not "nice" and I "hurt her feelings" when I cut her hair. It is really hard to be patient with her as I cut her hair with a sharp instrument as she keeps moving. I tried to stay calm but I did loose my cool at the end. I apologized to her and "pinkie promised" to not yell the rest of the day and she promised to listen really well. I think we both upheld our promises.

My day 2.0

After a long break of blogging I have finally had a day I feel the need to blog about.

I woke up about the same time as always. Jordan had already left for work, but today the kids had not woken me up. They both laid asleep in their beds. Ahh. I thought the dark rainy winter weather has them fooled and they have slept in. 1 hour later I hear Luke driving cars on his door so I open it. And I find that he has emptied every last toy tub and drawer. AND he has climbed a rather unstable homemade ladder that included a case of Costco diapers, a step stool, and a toy tub to find the 4 tubes of sunblock. Which of course he had squeezed out all the contents onto the carpet. I grab some cleaning items and set to work trying to get it out (to no avail may I add, I had to call a carpet cleaner to come). While I am on my hands and knees scrubbing he had gone downstairs then up again and was tapping my on the back. "Yes?" I ask as I turn, to find he has pulled out two fist fulls of poop and was wiping it on me. This ended up in a bath of course for the both of us. And a cleaning spree of poop that he had wiped on the banister going up the stairs, the baby gate, his dog, and his only clean pair of pants. SO I had to cross the the complex in pouring rain to do laundry. While his dog was in the "bath" Luke cried the entire 1 1/2 hours at the door for his "who who" (that is what he calls that dirty dog) and "no bubble" (which is what a bath is called). Heaven help with this third child. Please new child of mine be a well behaved, extremely mellow, calm, still, obedient child. PLEASE.

Tear

This past weekend we took down the crib. I caught Luke doing flips in and climbing out of it. This caused me to have visions of him breaking his neck-so the crib was promptly taken down. I don't usually get sad when mile stones are met. I was glad to be rid of the high chair, and so excited when Kaleia graduated to a booster seat. But, this time it was sad to haul the crib out to storage and to watch him sleep in a little toddler bed. He actually has been sleeping at night and napping during the day in it. He even stays in his room and doesn't bang on the door to be let out.

So for the first time in 4 1/2 years there is no crib in our house. Tear.

Halloween

This was my very favorite Halloween so far. When Kaleia was 2 we made it a whole 3 houses and then she was done. Last year we didn't go trick or treating because by the time Halloween day came we had already gone to three Halloween parties and were done with Halloween. This year we went to a great neighborhood. FYI golf course neighborhoods always give the best candy! Each house was decorated and almost all the people were in costume when they answered their doors. So fun! Kaleia was very excited to knock on the doors and Luke was happy to run after her with his bag and say, "tweet tweet" at each house. We lasted an hour and then decided to end the night while everyone was still in a good mood and not sleepy.

Can Time Stop Please-just for a hour?

Had so so much fun today at lunch. We grabbed Subway and headed for this fun park near Jordan's work. We were the only ones there and had a blast. Jordan and I got on these little (how to explain?) rocking horse things on wire coils that rock every which way. Well I guess we were a little to big and were leaning almost on the ground in every direction we leaned. We both ended falling off hysterically laughing. Luke ran over crying thinking we were hurt (my sensitive concerned boy). Kaleia climbed the highest she has ever on the dome of ropes that is 2 stories tall. This park is so much fun with tuns to do. Rock walls, slides, ships, spy glass', etc. I didn't want the lunch hour to end.

Play Dough Fun

First Day Of Pre-School

Kaleia started pre-school last month and is loving every day of it! I kind of was back and forth deciding if I was going to enroll her in a school or not, but am so glad that we did it. She is having so much fun and is experiencing many new things each week. Here are a few pics from her very first day.
