Happy 4th Of July

Yay for the fourth!
We had a really fun day. I decorated the house with blue streamers and white carnations. I made a really good breakfast of french toast, fruit kabobs, and bacon, that my dad came over to help us enjoy. Then Lei and I went swimming. Well she swam and I sun bathed, but I did get in to cool off. She kept yelling at me asking me if I was hot enough to cool off in the water with her. I am a little red, and my tan lines are funny, my swim suit has a key hole cut-out.






Then we made some festive cookies...er...I did, Lei just decorated the same cookie over and over again eating the frosting in between. Then we got ready to go over to Jord's parents annual block party BBQ. Complete with kid bike parade, contests, bake contest, BBQ in the street potluck. Lei didn't like the fireworks and sat wrapped in a blanket on either mine or grandma's lap occasionally hiding under the covers. She wouldn't even hold a sparkler. BUT she was all about launching bottle rockets! See below picture. One of the neighbors gave her their kid's old scooter which she LOVED. And of course the Duey saga continues as he was dressed up for the parade as well with her in the wagon.

shhhhh...

It is 8 and my Lei is asleep in my bed, buddy asleep in his bed, and Jord is asleep on the couch...SWEET SILENCE!

I should:
CLEAN THE WHOLE HOUSE
look for the paint brushes for tomorrow--we wil be doing a pudding paint your body
CLEAN THE BATHROOM
I will:
waste time computering
lay down and watch some t.v.
CLEAN MY ROOM
I want to:
get a pedicure
get a facial--it comes with a free body scrub this month
eat ice cream
lay out in the sun all day

THE WEEK THAT WON'T END

OKAY, THIS HAS BEEN ONE LOOOOOONG WEEK! IT IS THE WEEK THAT WON'T QUIT. EVERY DAY IT IS SOMETHING, MY HOUSE IS SUCH A MESS (PLEASE DON'T LOOK UPSTAIRS), WORK IS CRAZY, BLAH BLAH BLAH. LAST NIGHT I FELL ASLEEP ON MY BED FULLY CLOTHED WITH MAKEUP AND BRA ON. I NEVER GO TO BED WITH MAKEUP ON. AND THEN THIS MORNING WHEN I WOKE UP AT 8 I WAS STILL TIRED!

I HAD A RE-OCCURRING DREAM LAST NIGHT. I KEPT WAKING UP SCARED FALLING BACK TO SLEEP AND THE DREAM JUST KEPT COMING BACK. I AND 2 RANDOM LITTLE GIRLS (FACELESS) WERE BEING CHASED BY SOME BAD MAN. I THINK IT WAS FROM A SVU EPISODE THAT WAS PLAYING WHILE I COMPUTERING THAT MORNING. I WAS TO LAZY TO TURN THE CHANNEL. I DON'T LIKE THAT SHOW. NEXT TIME I WILL CHANGE IT.

ON THE NOTE OF NIGHTMARES WHEN I WAS A KID I WOKE UP SCARED ALL THE TIME THAT HARRY FROM THE MOVIE HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS WAS IN MY WINDOW. REMEMBER THAT GREAT 80'S FLICK?

OH! FOUND A NEW TASTY LOW CALORIE SNACK FOR LATE NIGHT SWEET GOODNESS CRAVINGS! "SMARTFOOD" POPCORN CLUSTERS, CHOCOLATE COOKIE CARAMEL PECAN FLAVOR. EACH BAG IS ONLY 120 CALORIES AND TOTALLY HIT THE SPOT. I AM ON DAY 4 OF NO ICE CREAM AFTER DINNER. MINUS LAST NIGHTS MCDONALD'S FAT FREE VANILLA CONE. I DON'T COUNT THAT ONE. IT IS THE HALF CARTON I WAS EATING EACH NIGHT I HAVE CUT OUT. NO THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME KNOW THAT IS NOT A LIE, I CAN PUT DOWN 1/2 A CARTON BUT COULD DO 3/4 EASY. PIZZA, BROWNIES, AND ICE CREAM JUST DON'T STAND A CHANCE WITH ME. I LOVE ME SOME ROUND TABLE.

Duey

I thought by now the novelty would have worn off but am happy to report Duey and Lei are inseperatable. If this goes on long enough I may think I got my money's worth. These two skate all day. She pats him like a real dog and gives him food and water.

THE KIDS SLEPT ON THE PLANE THERE AND BACK. EASY FLIGHT ONCE YOU GET THRU SECURITY. THAT IS THE STRESSFUL PART.


SONDRA'S LITTLE GIRL AND LEI HAD FUN TOGETHER. ALTHOUGH MY CHILD GOT A LITTLE ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE END. SORRY! LEI WAS REALLY GOOD AT "PRETENDING TO NOT BE FRIENDS" GAME.

BEACH FUN: LEI LIKED TO BURY HERSELF IN THE SAND, WAS "A LITTLE SCARED" OF THE WAVES, AND LOVED TO FIND SEA SHELLS.

JORDAN AND I GOT TO HAVE A DATE NIGHT AND WENT TO OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN HUNTINGTON BEACH, DUKES.

Second week of dance for Lei and it went soo much better then last week.
Last week
I got lost getting there-I HAVE MET A NEW LOW; I CAN MANAGE TO GET LOST WITH A BUILT IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM! Kaleia thought everything was a race. They had them doing different dance moves across the floor that she didn't pay attention to, she only cared if she was FIRST to the other side of the room. The teacher kept telling them to sit on their "stars" on the floor and wait their turn, so what does my child do? Pick up her star and move it to where she wants to be and sits down on it. Showing the entire class want not to do as they all followed her lead.
This week
It was not a race! She listened and followed directions. Although she insisted on being the leader of the line to the trampoline, getting in front of the teacher. She imitated the dance moves, and was first to answer questions yelling over the the children that were being asked...yes I have THAT child.

Batchelorette input-
WHAT THE CRAP JILIAN KEPT WESS!!!! And seriously, there is NO future with cute Mike the break dance teacher. And poor Jake, however I think he just wants to be married to a wife and Jillian would just do. I think it will come down to Jesse and Kyptin. Unless her loins are steering her and Wes makes it that far. Anyone want to come to my finale batchelorette party?

Okay, I LOVE stupid reality t.v. Yes; I am one of those that contribute to the ratings of this ridiculous phenomenon. My newest addition to the DVR is....BRIDEZILLA. Okay this show is so entertaining. You watch spoiled immature outrageous girls plan their wedding. A must see.

The newlyweds:
Not that great but when you can fast forward worth while if you need to kill some time. There is a mormon couple that are cute and normal. Known as, "virgins when they got married."

So you think you can dance?-NO one really stands out for me. Every week it is different.

Jon and Kate plus 8-Soo sad. I think it is time for them to end their show though, I mean come on! I really felt that Kate wanted to work at it but Jon was done and didn't want to even try.

Okay I need to stop cuz it is pretty sad that watch all these and could keep going...

Luke pulls to stand and has started to do a little foot shuffling. No clapping but will give you a high five. Dada is his favorite word. Crawls super fast. 6 teeth. Loves to be held. LOVES the water, bath or pool.
