Love it!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new stroller. I have been eyeing it since I got pregnant. It is always in the display window at this cute baby boutique down town. Mine is not green though, it is blue and gray with a little blue camo. It is so smooth, easy to steer, easy to jog with, and the kids seem to like it too. The first time we tried it out Lei kept asking for where Luke was. When I told her he was under her she got very frustrated that she could hear him but not see him.

For the first time I felt like an adult...I am walking thru Costco with two kids and all of a sudden I feel old...not OLD just not young. Like I feel old enough to actually have kids and be married.

Well, the time has officially come...we need another car. We held out as long as possible but it is time.

Having two kids is a lot more work then one.

I had to give Luke some formula today for the first time. I have been pumping for a week and I only get 1 oz. of milk per 2 hours. Poor boy is just not growing and has been extra hungry today so I caved in and gave him a bottle when I knew I had no more to give him. Will still pump though and just have to supplement.

It has been really hard to try to break all my pregnancy eating habits...especially late night eating. It will always be a never ending battle. Started weight watchers again and began running again this week. February 1st is the marathon in Huntington Beach.

I colored my hair a really dark red and no one cares for it. I have to say I like it though. It is a nice change. Will have to post a pic sometime.

"BAd MotHEr"

OKAY SO THIS MORNING I DECIDED TO BE A "BAD MOM" AND JUST PUT ON THE TV FOR LEI TO NICK JR. AND JUST LET HER WATCH IT IN MY BED WHILE LUKE SLEPT AND I CAME DOWNSTAIRS AND CAUGHT UP ON STUFF I HAVE BEEN PUTTING OFF. I WAS THINKING HOW RELAXING THE MORNING HAS BEEN...LUKE HAS SLEPT FOR THE THE LAST 3.5 HOURS AND SADLY LEI HAS BEEN WATCHING TV FOR THE LAST 2. I THINK THIS WEEK I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A "BAD MOM" AND LET MY TV RULES SLIDE UNTIL NEXT WEEK...:)

So far So good

Well, it has been a week since we added one to our family. He is a very mild baby. Lots o' sleepin' and lots o' eating! Have had no problems breast feeding this time around and have not needed to give Luke a single bottle. Sooo different then last time. He only cries when he has pooped or needs to feed. The last two nights have been fabulous two 4 hour stretches of sleep between 1 am and 9 am.

I have been managing work fairly well. Very busy and my office isn't open really. Just answering phones and seeing people when needed. It has been a lot smoother and easier then I thought it would be. Although can't wait until the 12th; the last person moves in then and things will slow down and I can relax.

Lei has adjusted fine. She isn't acting any differently. Loves the baby and likes to hold him all the time. Went to the Doctors office today alone with both and felt very overwhelmed. They are much easier to manage at home. It was a whole new experience dealing with two in public. I will savor the time Luke just sits in his seat the whole time.

Luke Thomas

My water broke (in the car) at 8:45 p.m. Sunday night and 4 hours later Luke was born Monday morning at 12:33 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. My labor was so fast that it was all natural...not by choice I was begging for drugs but was not granted my wish. We came home yesterday and are all happy and well. Lei is adjusting good so far. She asks to hold him a few times a day and has gotten upset only once when he was crying.

Shayla for a week

So last week Shayla came and spent it with us! Lei and her had soo much fun. I felt like I had a nanny for the week. We went to the zoo, farmer's market, got pedicures, and lots more. At night Jord and I went and painted and cleaned one of the apartments that had moved...totally not planned her being here that same week but I don't know what we would have done with out her at night. We would have had to gone over to the apt. in shifts and it would have taken so much longer. It ended being the apt. from hell. I truly think it was cursed and everything that could have gone wrong did. Saturday it was finished and we thought we would have a break...but something else broke. A pipe in the foundation of another apt. so we were up all night with plumbers...then another apt. moved out early and it is so disgusting!! We don't have to paint this one but we do have to clean it, and seriously how to people live in such filth! This is coming from a messy person too. I think it will take us 20 hours to clean it. Anyway that is all my venting. I think our lives are going to be like this for another 6 weeks...but then I guess we will be adding another one to our family so maybe it will be busy/hectic for longer.

Baby update

Went to the Dr. today. Nothing to exciting. I am 34 weeks along now, have gained 33 pounds, and have had thankfully a pretty uneventful boring pregnancy. Lei loves to go to the baby Dr. they always let her hold the heart monitor thing and she puts in on my belly to hear the heart rate. Plus every room has a drawer of toys that she plays with. Anyway, there is my boring update.

Yesterday's "Meet the Parents" moment

Okay, I really don't like the movie Meet the Parents, the one with I think it's with Ben Stiller. Anyway, I don't like it because things just keep happening and your like yeah right never in real life. Well yesterday morning I am getting ready in the bathroom and Lei comes in and tells me, "there you go mom, I shut the door." I am thinking okay and I tell her thank you for shutting my bedroom door. So I finish in the bathroom and head for the bedroom to get dressed. (I am just in a towel) And my door is locked. I feel like a deer in headlights at this point. Lei has done this before and Jord got the door unlocked with a credit card. So I grab a card and try to wiggle it free...and can't. At this point I am starting to panic. It is 11:15 am and I am supposed to meet the maintenance guy at 11:30 to go over some stuff with him, and am only in a towel. So I think I will call Jord and he can help me over the phone...the phone?...it is in the bedroom too. So I am locked out, naked, had just cleaned so there were no clothes outside of the bedroom, the phone is in the bedroom, someone is coming over in a few minutes, and I have no idea what to do. Ahh...but then I realize Jord's tools are in the spare bedroom and I take a screwdriver and get in the bedroom door open after a few minutes. I felt like I was in a really lame comedy movie.

4th OF JULY

We went to Valley Glen Drive for it's annual block party this year. We had a really fun time. Started the day off swimming, then Grandma helped Lei decorate the wagon for the bike parade. We then set everything up (tables and chairs) to enjoy a fun night with all the neighbors. Everyone brings their own meat to BBQ, a side dish to share, and there is a desert contest. Congrats to Noah and his homemade cheesecake! After dark the fireworks show begins and the men all take turns lighting their fireworks for a fun time.
