Summer Time Finger Painting

Today I felt brave and let Kaleia finger paint a picture. She had a ton of fun and only tried to eat the paint twice!

Ok. So it has recently been brought to my attention from my mom...I mean an unknown source, that there are no pics of my mom on any of my posts. So THIS ONE IS FOR YOU MOM! These are some old ones, I just found this disc unpacking today and thought it would be fun to post some really old pics. Geez she has grown. I guess I am in the buisness of taking requests, so if anyone else is feeling left out just let me know!:)

My Play House Is BETTER Then Yours!

So, my in-lawsd bought a new oven so we decided to take the box and make a play house out of it, and Kaleia loves it. I always find her inside sitting on her Elmo chair reading a book. We are still adding to the decore of the the little house. She draws on it a little more each day, and I always get some stickers to put on it each time I visit the .99 cent store.

Ok...sooo...we went yesterday up to Chico to Stephanie and Jamie's engagement party. It was a lot of fun I like Jamie and they seem to be a good fit, I am excited for Steph. BUT!!!! The drive home to Roseville was a nightmare. So we are driving and Kaleia is screaming so I decide to pull over and let her stretch her legs. I get out and we are walking and we are in front of the headlights of our car and squating down looking at the facinating pepples on the pavement. For those of you not familiar with Highway 99 it is basically crops of stuff. I then feel a bug bite on my leg and swat it away. Then Jordan and I look up and we are surrounded my thousands of mosquitos. And of course feeling many bites all of a sudden. We grab Kaleia and run for the car. I jump in the backseat while Jordan tries to buckle her in her carseat, "I can't buckle her I am getting bitten all over!" He slams the car door and dashes for the driver's seat. I lean over and buckle her in and then buckle myself. We start driving and feel relieved. Then we notice there on tons of them IN the car! I start screaming and killing them which of course creates blood stains on the seats and roof we find out the next day. I kill no joke 8 with one paper napkin. We drive with the windows down for a moment, I am screaming which scares the crap out of Kaleia so she is screaming. (I think it is safe to say she will always have a complex about blood sucking bugs now) Jordan is trying to drive as he slaps his neck for the next 10 miles trying to keep them from biting them. It felt like we were in a very old, very bad, scary movie....Oh yeah and today Kaleia thought it was a good idea to poo and then reach in her diaper and smear it all over her body and then bring my a handful. It has been a great 24 hours. LOL

Ice Chest Swimmin'

So I have discovered a way to let Lei swim and not have to get in the pool myself. (For those of you who don't know I don't like to get wet) I present...Ice Chest Swimming! Today we went out front to play with the hose and Lei decided to fill the ice chest up with water and get into that. She had a ball, and played for about an hour with that thing. I think it will be a daily thing for us now. Yeah Summer!

Okay here is the new haircut. I chopped a lot of length off and feel so much cooler to have the hair off my neck!

Hello Friends!
Here we are at Grams and Pop Moos' house for Sunday family dinner! We had a lot of fun and ate a lot of GOOD food, espeacially Grams' lemon pie.

Playing in the Garden

So I have to say I am enjoying my new freedom of just having two jobs...Mother and Wife. We are having a lot of fun in Northern California, and it wasn't too hot today...just 92 degrees. Geez I miss Orange County weather, but we are happy to be closer to family, but sad to be far from Sondra and Jason, the ocean, and the low temps!

So we had fun in Westport if you can't tell! Yes, it was a Norris family first...we went CAMPING! And I think we will do it again. We went up with my Dad's family and spent the weekend up there. It was beach and dirt all day long. Of course we ate good with my dad and his BBQ skills. I think it is the first time I let Lei just play in the dirt and sand, and at first she kept looking at me like, "ok mom this is where you tell me no." Jordan showed off his fire skills to us and it was nice to spend so much time with everyone.

The Motherland Trip!

Ok so we (Big Mama T (my mom), Me, Kaleia, and Shayla) took the LONG drive to Utah last week. We left at 3 AM and Lei did not go back to sleep again until we got there. Although it was not horrible...Thank the man who invented tv/dvds for the car and "a one and a two" goes out to Jim Hensen for creating Sesame Street! If you don't know my sister Stephanie is getting marred Thanksgiving and we went as a pre-wedding planning party. (I posted a pic of a dress she is not going to wear for obvious reasons. :) I think we accomplished all we could and I would make the trek again, although I am campaigning for us to fly out there in November. I haven't been back to Utah since 2003 and not much has changed. Can't say I miss living there although I do miss most of my roomates, and I do miss how cheap the cost of living is out there! It was odd though to go into Build A Bear and see tiny Book of Mormons for the dolls. LOL. As seen in the pic above Lei fell in love with Big Bird and carried that bird all thru the store and was very upset when she had to leave it behind when we left. Shay was building a monkey that is why we were there. Now we are back in Sac. and it is HOT HOT HOT.
